Hello MOMS Club® of Uwchlan Hills PA,
I hope this letter finds you and you and your
families heathy! It has been a crazy couple of weeks battling varying degrees
of sickness at my house, ugh. I was really looking forward to attending the
January Morning Coffee when I was taken out by flu/illness of doom. Am feeling
better now thankfully!
I wanted to send out congratulations again to
the Oakes family! I hope you are settling in nicely into being a family of 5
now with their little man having arrived recently. I also hope that all those
who went to Jumperoo this morning at Urban Air had a great time! Another thank
you to KR to taking the reins as the Activity Chair!
A few of us attending the School Board Meeting
on February 1st which was enlightening but it appears that a final
decision will not be made for some time.
They said they had the PowerPoint presentation outlining the options
online but it doesn’t appear to have been added to the website yet. I will keep
an eye out for it but if anyone else comes across it please share. DR had the
idea of sending a group letter/email to the Board to express our feelings
towards any of the possible options. It appears that voting is not going to be
open to the public however; public opinion will be taken into consideration.
Hopefully we can chat more about this at the February morning coffee. Speaking of
Morning Coffee a date for February is still TBD. I have a poll on Facebook so
please weigh in. 2/20, 2/23 or 2/24 are the options.
Our Administrative VP has been very busy
putting together the logistics for our 2017 Fundraiser!! We are having a bake sale on Thursday, March
16th from 9:30am to 2:00pm at the Downingtown Library, yummy! With a
theme of “Rainbow of Colors” to coincide with the story time theme that session
so if you are up for making something feel free to make it festive!
We’ll have the kiddos help make marketing signs
at the end of the month/early March. Be on the lookout for an invite for that
as a date has not been set yet. Donations can be dropped off to JB’s house
prior to the sale or on the morning of the sale directly to the library. If you
are so gracious and want to make something if you can please ensure it is
peanut free that would be super! Our contact at the library says they are very
close to reaching their goal so let’s help them get there that much faster!
