What is MOMS Club®?

MOMS Club® stands for "Moms Offering Moms Support."

The International MOMS Club® is an organization that supports stay-at- home Moms. Chapters are created geographically and our chapter covers the Lionville/Exton area and includes all Moms of children who will be attending Uwchlan Hills Elementary school. Any Mom can join the MOMS Club. The international organization was created to support stay-at-home Moms; our chapter is true to this ideal, but also includes many Moms who work part or full-time. They join us for events that fit into their schedule, and we welcome them.

Most MOMS Club activities are DURING THE DAY when you are home with your children and need support. Our favorite activities are the weekly playgroups. We have playgroups for infants up to half-day kindergarteners. These playgroups are a great way for Moms to connect with other Moms who have children the same age. It is also a great way for children who will attend Uwchlan Hills Elementary School to get to know their future classmates BEFORE they even attend the school or for homeschooled children to meet their neighborhood peers. Playgroups aren't the only fun we have, here are more things that we do:

-Music Classes

-Moms' Night Out

-Service Projects Benefitting Children

On an international level, the MOMS Club is a non-profit and nondenominational organization with more than 2,000 chapters worldwide. This chapter serves Moms whose children are in the Downingtown Area School District and whose children would be attending Uwchlan Hills Elementary School. We would love to have you join our chapter! You may attend up to two meetings before deciding to join. To sign up you need to fill out the membership application, liability form, and pay a yearly $25.00 fee.

Spring 2018 Newsletter

Hello MOMS Club® of Uwchlan Hills PA,

Spring is finally here! After what seemed to be an especially long winter this year, I can not wait for sun and warmer weather!

As you may remember, we took a vote on the frequency of the club's newsletters and we decided to change our newsletters from monthly to quarterly. Modern times have caught up to us and our Facebook page has been our primary means of staying connected and informed of club happenings. Everything from the newsletter can be found on our page, however I am happy to write to you all to personally to say hi and provide a summery of what has been going on and things that my be in the works. The last time I wrote to the club was back in January so we have a lot to catch up on!

First off, we had a few new members join the club. I would like to welcome AP and her two sons, F and J. I would also like to welcome MG and her children G, K, and L. I hope to meet you all soon!

We also had a couple births to announce. Congratulations to AB and family on their new arrival E! Another Congratulations to SK and family on their new baby girl B! A new baby can be quite an adjustment, I hope you all are doing well and getting rest! If you need any help, don't hesitate to reach out to the club. That is what we are here for, mamas helping mamas!

The club has had quite a few activities in the past few months. We have had many playgroups, Moms Night Outs, Morning Coffee, and Making Music to name a few. We also had our Easter party which was a huge success! Thank you so much SK for planning and hosting. We did arts and crafts, an egg hunt, and ate so much delicious food! A great time was had by all!

We have one more party to plan before the end of the club's fiscal year and the new board takes over. This would be our End of Year Party. It should be a blast! CL's daughter and friends have offered to dress up as princesses and do a meet and greet for the kids in our club. If anyone would like to help plan this event, please let me know!

Our charity project this year will be Alex's Lemonade Stand at Uwchlan Hills Elementary School. EV has been had at work planning this event. She is thinking it will be held May 4^th so save the date! Attending and assisting in this event is a great opportunity to meet some of the teachers, parents, and even the principal if you have not done so already. Keep an eye out for updates on this and other events on our Facebook page.

The end of our club's year is fast approaching which means it is time to start thinking about what you can do to keep our club functioning and growing. Our club is so important to keep moms and kids in our area connected, to support each other, and encourage valuable social skills for our children. I have met so many wonderful families and enjoyed many activities as a member and President. I hope the club stays open for many years to come but the club does not run itself. We need you! If you are interested in any of the board or committee positions for the new year, please let me know!

January 2018 Newsletter

Hello MOMS Club® of Uwchlan Hills PA,

The holiday season has come to an end. This is always such a busy time for us moms. I hope everyone was able to slow down, relax, and enjoy time with family. I was happy to see all those who came to the winter party last month. A big thank you to KC for all her help in making this event a huge success! We are now taking volunteers to assist in planning our next event in the spring. This is when we do our Easter egg hunt. If you are interested, please let me know!

In addition to the winter party, we had a few other fun activities last month. Some of us participated in Makin' Music, Morning Coffee, and/or playgroups. Unfortunately, Moms Night Out was canceled but should be back on the schedule for this month. Please check the Calendar on Facebook regularly to keep up to date with what is going on in our club!

Some of you may have heard that the school board has finally voted to build a new Uwchlan Hills Elementary School! They are still in the early stages of planning and have not determined a timeline as of yet. This is very exciting news! I will be sure to provide updates if I hear anything new.
